I will try to focus this one on gluten free foods and nutrition. The simple life of me and three will be focused on family and zumba in caldwell will be about zumba classes.. Memorial day...

Well, for memorial day I had my beautiful kids. We went to a few parks and had a picnic..

and to my grandmother's grave site to leave flowers for her. We saw the Jets fly over and the boys loved it!! I loved it too. Always have loved airplanes...

Then we met some friends and hit the pool! All in all.. a great day and the skies were so so so blue!!

SO, I got a call yesterday to tell me that I don't have swine flu.. YAY!! So, I spent all weekend in McCall sitting by the lake and soaking up the sun. It was so great. I could have been in San Diego, but I am glad that I was in McCall.. It was so relaxing.... I will still have to go to San Diego, but I think I just needed to be mellow this weekend.. so nice....

So, I have influenza A. I had to be tested for swine flu and had to cancel a trip to San Diego. I have to be in my house for at least a week.. or up to 3 weeks. It is so so so boring. I am not a home body.. Anything but...
I can't go to work.. or work out ... or see my sweet kids...life is still good though...I am keeping my chin up... so I can see that the sky is still blue somewhere up there.. The sky is always blue..

So my friend, Anna, had a birthday!! She is 29 now.. sure wish I was... We had a fun night full of Mini Golf, Video games, x-men and Ice cream....So much fun. Thanks to the gang for helping me not feel like I was a third wheel. It's always nice to have a good group of friends to help the time pass with joy and laughter..

Ok, here are more details.. It is on wednesday April, 22nd, so next Wednesday. At Mountain Home Jr High at 5 pm. They are hiring construction people, staff people, accounting, chemists, and a college degree is not nessary for most of the jobs. You will be trained in your job. From what I hear... the pay starts at around 60,000 a year. just so you know!! (sorry for the confusion)

So, i heard twice on the radio that there are nuclear power plant jobs opening. This is exciting to me because it will help families who are struggling. If you want to apply they are accepting apps on Wednesday in Mountain home at the high school. I think this is a great help in boosting the economy nearby. Well, last night my sister and I went to sing for local legends in Caldwell. It was so fun. I have never worn a hat that small before... We have so much fun singing together!! She is a blast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZiCMJRa_rg This is the video link if you want to watch it...

Here in my awesome trailer things have been hoppin. I have painted the kitchen green...and white with black accents. It turned out really nice.... now I just have the rest of the trailer to fix up. ;)

I am working for the YMCA still, but I only have my Saturday class still going in Caldwell...8am people!!

At the downtown Y I am starting a new schedule. I work T/Th at 4:30pm and Friday at 10am. it starts this Tuesday so come and bring your friends so it looks super popular!! Hee hee. It had about 60 people in it last time and that was so fun!!! Come and dance with me!! Here are some of the people that went to the recent workshop for Zumba.. Good job you all!! Well, Life is as busy as ever!! I am so happy to have this outlet to share it with ya!!

This week has been full of painting and making things look cute here in the manufactured home (sounds better than Mobile home). The kids got to spend spring break with their dad so I had plenty of time. He took them to Island Park to a time share his parents own. I think they had a good time. They stayed with me for a night when they got back and we looked at pictures of all the adventures. I am sure that thier dad has them on his facebook page if you want you want to look at them. I have been painting things green and white and brown. #1 Girl helped paint in the front room while she was here. She is so cute. She is a very good helper and always tries to do the right thing....except to her brothers... we are working on that one and will be for a while I am sure. #1 boy has been working at doing better in school. It is a constant struggle for him to respect peoples personal space... The baby boy is not such a baby anymore. He has his own mind and works hard to let you know what he wants. The language skills are coming, but it will take some time. Potty training is going well for him and he likes to stand up and pee.... so funny and a little messy.. I will deal with the mess and I am proud of him for finally trying to be a bigger boy. Life still goes on for me. There are struggles and some days are really a challenge, but life is good for the most part and I am really loving the ward out here.

Recently I got divorced. Yes, a shocker to some of you I am sure, but it really is the best decision for me. I have moved to Eagle into a beautiful trailer and love it!!! It is so quiet and calm until my kids come to stay and then it is the hoppin-est place ever!! You can call if you would like to. 409-2087. I would love to stay in contact with you and am still the same person. Please know I am still your friend and not a scary person you can't talk to. I really am good and happy. I love my new life. Well, on Friday nights at our house it has always been date night. Lately we have been trying to be extra creative in our dates instead of going to dinner and a movie all the time. Last week we played frisbee and went out for GF Pizza at Chicago Connection. YUM. Tonight is my turn to plan the date. I am going to do things that I enjoy and want to share. I hope he likes underwater basket weaving and boxing!!! J/K!! More info to come...Can't spoil the surprise....

k... so i had really high expectations for last night and they were all exceeded!! We had so much fun salsa dancing it was amazing!! I saw some people from my Zumba class there, and I saw a lot of really good dancers. I was so blown away by my husband though... he got me right out onto the dance floor and shook it like a pro. We danced for about two hours and then, because I was tired, we went home.
This may seem to some of you like no big deal, but let me assure you this was a huge deal... In the eleven years that we have been married he has danced with me only about 5 times. That is only five songs.... i am not exaggerating!! (k maybe slightly) He was so fun and brave and I was very proud of him and glad to be with him. Yeah Hubby!!!!

Tonight I am going Salsa Dancing with my hubby. Now the last time we went, he left me there to dance by myself...LAME!! Then the next time I asked he said no... So today I had to go into Boise and it was a snow day for my oldest and not my middle child. Weird I know, But they go to different schools.... So any way!! I love driving in the snow!! To start the new year out, my husband brought me breakfast in bed and let me sleep in until 11am. What the heck!?!? I was so floored and happy. Thanks!!

I was so tired because last night we played Wii for New Years eve way out at my moms and then had to make the 30 minute drive back home with out falling asleep... augh...that was difficult. I nodded off a few times and so did the husband, even though he was driving!!! SCARY!!

We all made it home safe and sound, and when I got home several very sweet people had texted me a happy new year message on my phone... Thank you and Happy New year right back at ya!! Then I crashed HARD!!! I got up once at 8 and then back to sleep untill 11...nice. Well enough talk... lets Wii...

This is my dad hula hooping... oh so funny!! And here is The puckett man with the hula hoop. My oldest having her way with the hula...and doing a great job!!! And last ,but not least and certainly the cutest...mom The champion hula hooper!!

The fun did not end there however.... we still had to try ski jumping, step aerobics, slolomn and golf... so funny!! There is nothing funnier than watching a pregnant lady ski jump!! Julie cracks me up time and again!! My brother brought his sweet wife and we all had a great time! Oh So tired..................

Recently events in my life have changed my way of thinking. ... I do not want what I thought was good for me, and changing my thinking is something that has been really hard..... especially realizing that what I thought was good enough for me wasn't good at all... not making any sense?? GOOD!!!

All I know for sure is that I am loved by some very amazing people... and for now, that is enough....

OK #1 boy is much better and is on amoxicilin (which he loves) and back at school. #2 boy doesn't quite know how to handle this. He loves his brother and is always bugging him and pestering him...so now because the pestering must go on, and I am the only one here..I am the target.

While I was on the phone today I heard him downstairs. I thought he had gotten onto the counter and turned on the garbage disposal, but no!!! He had put a banana in the blender with the peel on and pushed the button. So, when I came downstairs I was laughing hysterically at this boys genius!!

Sometimes when I was a kid I would pretend to be sick. My mom knew I was just not wanting to go to school and so she would let me stay home. My oldest son is doing this today and I am enjoying him being home. He entertains #2boy who is always up in my grill...boye....

I love my boys and maybe he really does have the sore throat he's complaining about.. who knows, but I love him and want him to get better soon. Like before date night...that would be nice... before 6pm preferably. ;)

Well life as I know it is still kids, work and dating my true love (whom I married). Now when I get into a little bit of a rut I have to remind myself that I picked HIM.
This is one of the reasons why

I really did. I went to his apartment for a week until he asked me out and I would bother him with e mails and wait at his apartment until he got home. I really picked him to be my true love. He was so innocent and cute and funny. I really love him and I need to remember that little guy that I picked is still in there somewhere. He just grew up a little. Life changes and it changes you right along with it. I am sure I am not the girl he married. I hope I am better in most ways. I am sure I'm worse in some ways (hopefully not too many) that are really grinding for him. I just hope he will take the good with the bad and we can develop better selves. I love my main sqeeze and I know he loves me.... I just hope he knows how much!! I love You Baby!!

So, my sister had a birthday and we all have to have a party as often as possible.....We always have such a good time. Last night we watched some YouTube of people doing Zumba (I know it should be on the other blog) and it was so funny!! Randy even said it looked fun, but he is a good dancer, so it should look fun. My Mom and Dad are even going to start doing Zumba... Any way...We had a good party and I got my sis this really cute purse and she hated it!! So, I got a new Purse for her birthday..LOL!! It was full of all sorts of candy that she did keep.. Crazy huh?

Schools out for the week..

So, I think I am a pretty patient person, but when school is out I go a little crazy!! I love my children, I do, but I am tired of school being out!! They do the wierdest things when they are home. Last night we had some visitors and they were all over them (sorry about that!) To the point that I could not hear what our visitors were saying!! Agh! I need to help them unwind sometimes...and not when company is over. LOL!! I did learn how to give awesome piggyback rides buckin' bronco style! Thanks for that Travis! You are a lifesaver.

Zumba is going well!

I have been teaching Zumba this week and so far it is going very well!! I had about twenty people in both classes that I taught. I will teach again tonight and hopefully we will have that many or more! There are guys and gals of all walks of life. I am in love with it!! I can dance all my stress away and be teaching at the same time..crazy! What a blessing. Something I LOVE doing....

Halloween

I really love Holidays and when Halloween comes I am overjoyed and overstressed. I realize at this point how unprepared I am for the rest of the holidays coming soon. Christmas is now right around the corner and Thanksgiving is in a few weeks!! To my great delight I get to have every holiday at my house. That makes it easy to be on time. The only downside is that I have to clean and cook at the same time. I enjoy so much having family over so that makes up for the double time in the kitchen. I am so happy the holidays have begun!!

We had a good party last night. Lots of people came and the house was crowded. Sorry that the Wii was on...I had no idea!! Too much going on.... ;)

Two friends from far away...

Last night we had Pierre's new friend Juan, spend the night. He is from Columbia. They are so different and so funny. They are also still asleep and it is 9:30...I bet they will sleep until 11 or so because they were up so late/early last night playing the Wii and PS2. Juan is going to find me some really good music for the Zumba class!! I am happy about that. He was playing some for me last night and you are going to love it!! I will mix it into my playlist soon.

Juan wants cool host parents, like Pierre. I think his are nice....but I have only met them one time. I guess they have two daughters and are very strict with him. I would be too, but mine go everywhere with me so Pierre is kind of on his own most of the time. Poor Pierre...LOL!!

Halloween Party!!

Doing anything for Halloween?? Do you live close by?? We are having a kid friendly Halloween party at our house on Friday!! It will start at 8 o'clock pm, so you can trick -or -treat and then bring all the little monsters over to our spook alley!! We will bob for apples and eat doughnuts off a string!! Lots of fun to be had watching the charlie brown special...and when you get sleepy you can leave.... and then it will be over.

Oh, it is Tuesday.. Day of fun, and Not so much work. today I got to teach a little Hip hop Hustle and I mixed a couple Zumba songs into it. My class is Loving the Zumba dances!! I think it makes everything else seem a little boring. It is so fun to see thier faces light up when they get it and are doing well.!! Hooray!!

Tired of being sad

I am officially tired of crying and being sad. It is now time to be happy. Happy I know the people that I do in my life. I am happy to be me and no one else. I am happy for my family who is so supportive and loving. I am grateful for trials which seem to be abundant lately, but that teach me to be humble and more loving to those around me. I am happy to have sky and sun and rain and snow. I am happy for the ocean and water, the birds and the fish (even though we have lost 3 of six so far). I love my life. I love my friends. I love God for he is the one who is always there to lift me up. All I have to do is ask for his help and I receive it. I am happy to have known such a dear friend like Anna in my life. I know that good friends are hard to find... and I am blessed to have many friends that love me..... And I love them right back!!!

I am sure if there is a just and merciful God (and I am sure there is) that she is in a happy place. That she is talking to other people in her same sweet voice that I am now missing. My sweet friend Anna K. Peters has passed away. The funeral is tomorrow at 9:30am. It will be held at the Holy Apostles Catholic church at 6300 N Meridian Rd. Please say a prayer for her mom today, Debbie Peters, She needs your prayers right now.

Zumba!!!

OK... Here it is!! I am now a certified Zumba instructor and I tell you, I have NEVER had so much fun working out in my life!! You need to find a gym by you and try it!! If you are in Caldwell, call me and I will let you come to my class once for a trial class-for free. I am so sure that you will love it!! It doesn't matter if you can dance or not, it is just SO MUCH FUN!!!! In Caldwell if you are a member at the YMCA you can come for free already. It will be on the Schedule in November...Start coming at 6:10pm in the Yoga fitness Gym upstairs on Monday and Wednesday right now to get slowly adjusted to the format..I am going to slowly add Zumba to my dance power class and then that is where Zumba will be untill they open up a spot for us in the morning too!! ;) IT will blow you away.

During conference

Today during conference we had the opportunity to teach our exchange student how the church works. It was a great experience to think about how much I have gained and learned from being a member of the church. By listening to the speakers I gained a lot of insight on how much the pioneers suffered, how we all have personal experience to help us when we are in need, the comfort our Heavenly Father gives us through the holy Ghost, how to enjoy every moment, how to treat our loved ones here in the home, and how our examples can change other people's lives for good.

I always need a small reminder right about this time of year... amazing how that works..and I am so glad for the fun we have wrestling with the kids to try and get them to listen. This year we used color pages, puzzles and quiet books for the kids. I baked in between and during some of the sessions so that we could keep our mouths full and quiet while we listened. We still couldn't hear all of the sessions because of the kids, but we mostly were happy and we mostly heard. I think you always hear what you need to hear.....no matter what.

So, in beween sessions this is what my children are like...

They are so funny! All giggles and crazies. I guess I could get mad or I could just smile.....

Corn Maize!

Today I took my children to the corn Maize in Meridian. It was so fun, we all had a good time. I lost two of them for a while, but I was never really panicked because there are only a few ways out of the Maize. Pierre and I split up and looked for them only to discover that they were already done and playing in a small tractor pull thing. Here are all the kids on a hayride.. It was really hot and we were very tired after all that looking for kids and finding nothing and looking again and them seeing us and just giggling at us looking for them...

This picture is great. At first they were in the right ones...Girl on the girl side and boy on the boy side, but then they switched and I snapped the picture...nice boobies...mr.. Little guy wanted a small pumpkin. So, we carried it around for a while. He later threw it off of a bridge in the corn maize....what?? We then went to buy costumes for Halloween at Walmart- which they are now all sleeping in.. So funny. I remember I used to do that. My mom used to buy pajamas that were a princess theme and I could wear them for longer.

He found these glasses on the kitchen counter and thought they were so funny. The kids wear them around to play SPY, he just wore them to be funny...and boy was he.

Also in the news, I went to pick potatoes, Pumpkins, squash and butternut squash at my mom's. She is so fun, and Little man had a great time playing in the sandbox with his cousin.

My kids take Karate and it is so fun. They are learning discipline and how to listen to thier teachers... Want to see??

It is so funny to me that the kids like this class so much. I tried to put my daughter in Dance and it was a miserable failure...but she loves Karate so much and is getting a little more self confidence too. That is a big plus for her and me.

On Monday I went to the park with some buddies of mine (and buddies of the kids) and it was so much fun!! I told them I would blog this, and so I had better do that.... So much fun Hanging out with ya!! Thanx, I needed to get out with friends..;)

Homecoming

Yes, A long time ago I went to homecoming..... I wore a green dress that was too big because I had only finished sewing it the night before, and went with a guy I liked as a friend, and I got a pretty flower, and we ran home to change and went to do something fun instead... Why am I telling you this??

Well, Pierre went to homecomming on Saturday with another exchange student from France (she asked him) and we shopped for the perfect outfit. We bought the perfect flowers. We even took the perfect pictures... and then they skipped the dance...completely... and went to boondocks instead!

LOL I laughed so hard. I should have thought of that when I was younger...

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and ideas on helping my children. I am more at peace today and I sent two of them off to school with out a hitch (yes, there usually is a hitch).

I mostly have problems with my oldest boy. He tends to get in trouble and not care. Part of it is his maturity level and part of it is that he is so dear to me that I have a hard time believing that he is capable of such things as biting, hitting, throwing tantrums in class and getting in trouble daily on the bus. He is not allowed to ride the bus now, and I found out yesterday that it was because he bit another child on the leg.... and left a bruise. YIKES!! I can not imagine how the mom of the other child feels right now. She is probably driving her child to school too. I would.

That is why I freaked out and started thinking of WHY??? So, thank you, I will do somethings differently and keep some things the same. It is nice to know that I have such awesome friends, who are incredible moms, and give great advise, and think I am great too!!

What do you do when your kid is a brat???Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat...Blaming the child is a lie and a shame, we know exactly who's to blame.... The Mother and the Father.... Oompa Loompa Doopity doo....

We have a few brats at our house these days and I am having a hard time pointing the finger of blame at myself...I am sure it is somewhat my doing, but I am just doing the best I can ..without being sent to social services.

I tend to work more while they are at school than I do in the summer and I confess I get more aggitated with them than I do in the summer, but seriously...do they have to scream and shout 98 percent of the time that they are home?? I hate it, and that is being kind.

I am sure you have all sorts of classes for me to sign up for, but I really am just venting...don't tell me to take a class, I already have taken several and to no avail. The last class I took with my Mom and she was so good and it lasted about four classes for me and then I thought I was waisting time here in this great class (which it was) when I could be doing something way more fun and make myself a fun mom instead of a tired mom who sat in a class all day dicovering what mistakes I have made and why...and beating myself up for it...

I have wonderful children, I really do. They are amazing and fun and happy and hiarious all summer long. Once school starts, all the demons come out and posess them in horrible ways. I am just baffeled at why this is... If it is truly the parents fault then why are my kids so good without all the school?? When it is just me and my hubby, they are so fun. Ponder this little ones and tell me your ideas. (please don't tell me to take a class or I will scream!!)

We have a new fish tank, and in spite of my little guy, the fish are happy and well. (He has already overfed them and stuck toys in the tank, but they have carried on...) One of them is pregnant. I hope we have babies!!

Pierre named the pregnant one Bobby. He said he wants to name the babies Bobby Jr or Maurice... Funny kid. He got asked to homecoming and is happy to go. We spent all afternoon yesterday shopping. He will look so nice at the dance. He has never been to an american High School dance and said he doesn't know how to dance, but he is practicing and it is very cute!! Last night he was snapping his fingers and spinning around like Michael Jackson...so Funny.

Ok, so I went to run the women's celebration race in the downpour... I was soaked to the core and shivering for hours afterwards. I didn't realize that I signed up for the wrong wave. I should have signed up for the red wave, it is timed and competetive. I signed up for purple which is untimed - and walkers can walk along with the runners. It was so crowded and their were umbrella's everywhere!! Let me tell you, people with umbrella's are oblivious to people around them. I have no idea how many times I had to dodge an umbrella!! On the positive... I met a really nice gal named Beth. We rode the bus down together and then ran and dodged umbrella's together. She was great company and we are now fast friends. I saw Heather there, and my friend Suzanne. All in all a very social time was had by all. If you watched the news you probably caught a glimpse of me running. I ran quite a bit -especially when I saw a camera...;)

Next year Beth and I are running in the red wave..... No excuses!!

I am breathing and happy to have the computer breathing right along with me. I am not worried about a malfunction or error...yet, and I hope I won't be for a very long time. So refreshing to have current technology...

The video is nothing special. Just special that you can see it!!! ;)

I can also do fun things that should have been possible on the old computer, but for some reason were not. Like save time, post more, save more time (did I mention I can save time??) and reboot the computer without any glitches. I am really not very computer savvy, but I do enjoy things working properly on a regular basis.

We just got a new computer and it is really nice. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures on it yet... So here is the picture you get to see....Pretty..... I love this new computer, but I am still getting to know it better. It has a lot more functionality than our last one. The last one had to be shut down manually every time, and that caused some problems when wanting to start up again. Eventually it just got too full between Shawn's music and my Photos, so we had to upgrade. However we will still use our old computer for fun things like games for the kids, and a back up place - for if someone is using the computer...like me!!

I am going to the women's celebration fair today with Julie!!! I am so excited!! Yea for me!

Well, hi everybody!! Here is my weekend in a nut shell....

My two oldest have been taking piano for a while now and #1 son looks so cute playing. I thought I'd give you a glimpse...This picture is him and his buddy playing "chefs". It is so cute to watch them play. They will take my order and write it down and then say,"mom will you make this?" I crack up every time. This is the desk from my post "so much potential" look at the difference a little blue stain and black paint makes... My nephew had a party for his sixteenth birthday!! He was too cool to smile at the camera, but here he is with his new I pod nano. Cute Boy!! Julie and I decided to play model and here is the picture she took of me... here is the picture I took of her... Pretty funny girls on both counts I say... This spider was found on the play tire in the back yard. Everyone was screaming and looking at it and screaming. Little man went up to it and screamed and then squished it with his bare hand and then screamed again. It was so funny!!! Here is my gift from Pierre (It is for the whole family really) It is a beautiful book in french about france. He told me all about the pictures... because I made him, and it is a very interesting and beautiful book.. Thank you Pierre !!

This is the group of kids we were babysitting when we got the phone call about Pierre. We had to make a decision amid all the chaos and be prayerful and hopeful in the middle of all this.. Yes, this is the only time all thirteen kids sat still...We had a great time though in spite of the stress.

Then the day Pierre was coming to stay, I had planned to can peaches and I couldn't, not do it. I have a ceramic stove top and the water would not boil at all...Finally Julie, saint that she is, took all the bottles to her house and processed them for me. All 50 Bottles of them!! Thank heavens for sweet Julie. I don't know how to survive without her.
So that is all you missed in my life while I went on about Pierre....

This is our exchange student from France!!! His name is Pierre. He is sixteen years old and a BLAST!! Not to mention how handsome he is .... all the girls LOVE him. We love him too, but not quite in the same way as the girls...

He likes to Ski (something I am not good at, but will have to try again) and play tennis (He can play with Shawn) and watch movies and play on the computer. He is a pretty easy person to get along with and he loves to work out- which is good for me because I just bring him to the Gym when I work out or teach and he'll work out for hours. We are so glad to have him here and I think he likes us too!!

Pierre is sixteen and very kind for a teenage boy. He is a handsome boy and very helpful and sweet. All the girls at church are going to start stalking him I am sure. I have no idea how to raise a teenager,but I guess I will find out. So far he is really easy to sit and watch movies with, or eat with. He doesn't eat a lot and is very skinny, but likes sports so I am sure he will eat more when he starts playing sports. He has a great sense of humor and likes to laugh at everything funny. I think this will work out quite nicely. He took the kids outside yesterday and jumped on the trampoline with all of them. It was cute to watch and the kids LOVE him.

Well, today I got a phone call from a VERY desperate lady who needed to place an exchange student from France. So, we prayed, said we would give it a go and he comes tomorrow at 1pm. His Name is Pierre and he is 16 years old and a senior in High school.

I am a little ambivalent about this... First off he is a boy, so that is weird all by itself. Next, Shawn is acting nervous about it all, so that makes me more nervous and... I only had 10 minutes to decide if I wanted to do it or not.... I think I made the right choice, but we will find out in a few days I guess..

Ok, so my little one has been causing all sorts of havoc around the house lately.One morning I made some gluten free biscuits from a mix (expensive) and he smashed them all into the carpet.... Then I had a bowl of ripe peaches on the counter....He bit each one and put them back in the bowl. I just get so mad when he does things like this that I have to take a picture so to distract myself and not hurt the little Ice cream muncher. Isn't he cute?? Naughty, but Cute!

What is Vision you may ask?? A charter School that I am actually hoping my son will get to go to...With #1 girl going his chances increase so much!!! She is so excited to go and learn more than just reading at school. She will have more art, science and math than she currently does (which is none) and she will get to have her reading time too. (She is an excellent reader already.) They also bring in volunteers and teachers to teach, woodworking, pottery, and different things the kids vote on to learn. It is a very small school and right across the HWY. It starts later and ends at the same time as east.

So here's to miracles happening in our lives. This one is mine .... Now she's all grown up.

School has started and it is so different than in the summer. This is the first year that two of my children are in school all day and I hardly know what to do with myself. My little boy and I are beside ourselves missing the other two. We just try and help each other get through the day. We party together!!

Part two...Utah

On Tuesday we visited Thanksgiving point, Dinosaur Museum with the Nortons. Wow! That place is big and very crowded. Then we went to IKEA for lunch. YUM!! I had a salad and my main man had the Swedish meatballs...so yummy. Then we got lost in IKEA for about two hours, and only covered one floor of the store,( yes, it is that big). At about six pm we met Grandma & Grandpa and went up in the big Cottonwood canyon for a stay at the cabin. The boys slept for a while. Wednesday we hiked around silver lake. It is very beautiful. The kids loved the animals we saw... Chipmunks, ducks, bugs, fish... it was fun. Thursday we hiked up to donut falls. There has been a rock slide since the last time I was up there, but it is still beautiful. I couldn't believe how awesome my kids were. Even the little one hiked by himself the entire time.Friday Morning we came back into town(SLC) By way of park city and their fabulous Outlet mall. I think I shopped myself silly. Friday night we ate dinner with Shawn's Uncle's Family and then went to the Davis county fair and milked some goats, but I forgot my camera....Duh! Saturday we shopped Gateway and let the kids play in the fountain most of the day. Then we left Sunday Morning dark and early and headed home.

It is so good to be home.....

We went to Utah from Saturday at noon to the following Sunday at 5am. It was a long Vacation for three small children and two weary parents, but we did it and loved it.

Our first adventure was with Aunt Nan... We went to the Old Bubble, now called the Bountiful Rec center.Everyone had a great time and got very waterlogged..except me. I slept in a lounge chair most of the time because My main man and nanny had the kids. I was surprised that I didn't get burned... On Sunday we took the kids to temple square where we toured the conference center and climbed on anything and everything, especially fountains. The kids had never seen all the things on temple square and still haven't, because we got hungry & tired and went back to grandma's to rest. On Monday we went to the Hoggle Zoo... Wow! There were a lot of animals and stuff. We took a train ride around the Zoo and even found a fountain to play with. Monday night we met at memory grove with some families we know in Utah, for my birthday. We had a great time (except for the wasps trying to eat my burger). The park is so beautiful and has water running right through the middle of it. The kids had a great time and it was so nice to see some good friends again.
I am going to have to end this blog and start a new one because it is hard to move the pictures in a long blog...

He wanted a spy party so we put some spy gadgets on his cake. They have been playing spy everywhere now! His cousins started wrapping everything they liked to give to him for a present. I got subs for church and work, I finished teaching the Hip Hop Hustle training, and now I have a little time to RELAX...something I don't do very well...I think I'll clean out the garage for my relaxing activity.

So I am sitting here and thinking, which is something I do being vice president and all, and I can't really think of anything to say that will make an impact so I'll just post this.... ... a monkey. There is a story that goes with this Monkey. When I was a little girl (about 5 or 6) I lived with my grandparents for a little while and I found out that it was my Grandpa's birthday. I rode my bike to nearby garage sale and I bought him this monkey (which I thought was so Beautiful) for about $.50. When my sweet grandma passed away. He got remarried (at 82 years old!!) and moved in with his new wife, Barbara. He asked me all the time what I wanted for a token to remember her (and I did get a very nice porcelain girl that I always loved-and still do) . As I was in his garage one day-taking out the garbage-I noticed that he still had kept this monkey. I asked him if I could have it and he smiled and said,"sure Sweetie" the way he always addresses me. I told him my story and he said that he just hadn't gotten around to figuring out what to do with it, but he hadn't thrown it away and that made me smile... It's been almost 30 years since I bought the Monkey. My kids love it and have so fondly named him Simon. He sits happily clashing with the decorations around him. And he will always have a home with my family... silly huh?

I have been having two really great days....which is weird considering that Ash moved away on the first really good day. (this is Ash below, I miss you!!!) I have felt so happy and at peace with my life. I taught a great dance power class last night and even started to sweat in my second class when I caught a second wind and stepped it up a bit. Why would this be out of the norm you may ask??

Well, for the past month a lot has happened and most of it quite upsetting. I really was heartbroken to learn of friends ending marriages, friends moving and change occurring-hurtful things happening and hate and fear ruling over people who are dear to me. I became a bit too in it... So, I am jumping out of it and shaking it off, with quite a bit of daily meditation, and reacquainting myself with a dear friend that I had lost contact with. I feel so good!!! Do something good for yourself, you deserve it!! I am going to eat some potato salad and steak with my sister, Julie(who unknowingly just took all her good maternity clothes,with her bad maternity clothes, to DI and is just sick about it...because #1 they weren't all hers and #2 she is pregnant right now.... Yikes!).I just wanted to spread the love, peace happiness and joy.....

So, it is official, I am a part time blogger! There has been so much going on I don't have time to sit and blog. Summer is my favorite, but busiest time of the year. We just got back from a family reunion I will not soon forget. We went camping at Baumgartner, it's just past pine and featherville. It was so fun. there is a hot pool and they drain it every night so they don't have to put any chemicals in it. There is a play ground, nature trails a big fast river and lots of bull snakes!! I even saw one run over on the road that hardly anyone was driving on, Lots of snakes!! Here are some fun pictures of us all camping....

Fear and love

I want to talk of the two most powerful things in my life. One is fear, the other love.
Fear because it keeps me from who I am. It stops me in my tracks and grips me so tight that I can't move at times. I see it in my children when they do something new or differently than I taught them to. It can kill, it can take, it can hurt. Fear is the reason we are at war. Fear is the reason we scream when we are alone and in the dark...
Love is the opposite. Love is the light. Love helps me find out who I am . It helps me embrace each new day with excitement and hope. Love holds me tight and then helps me find my path, even in dark times. Love is a good friend, a neighbor, a sister, a child. Love holds so much for us. It helps us find what we didn't even know we were missing to make our lives better. Love is the warm glow of the sun, the water all around us. It nourishes and strengthens as it enters our lives. Love is the answer to everything.
Today I want to love more and fear less. I want to take the chances I wouldn't have yesterday. I want to be hopeful, happy and full of the warm light of the sun. I want you to know that I love you.

I got the opportunity to take my daughter to the temple on the morning of her baptism and take several pictures of her with brides in the background. They turned out beautiful. She is beautiful. It was a great day and we are all so happy for her in making such an important decision right now in her life.
